What is Emerald Cross Outreach?
Who we are
We are a 501(c)(3) outreach organization dedicated to assisting the unhoused population in the greater DFW area, with a particular focus on Denton.
ECO's origin story is truly heartbreaking. It was born out of the profound loss experienced by parents and friends who tragically lost a child to the streets in August 2024. Their grief and determination to help their son find his way back from a life of drugs and alcohol fueled the creation of ECO. Their mission is clear: to prevent other parents from enduring the same unimaginable pain. The support and solidarity of other families who have faced similar struggles have strengthened their resolve. Together, they have embraced the motto of ECO, echoing the teachings of Jesus.
Our team of volunteers offers a wide range of services, including resume building, interview skills training, and even job leads. We strive to equip individuals with the tools they need to transition from homelessness to employment. Alongside the physical assistance we provide, we also offer spiritual support and guidance to those who seek it.

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower individuals who are seeking to transform their lives and become contributing members of society.
ECO conducts a monthly outreach event on the fourth Saturday of each month at various locations throughout Denton. During these events, we deploy a set of trailers that includes a clothing trailer, a shower facility, laundry services and a food trailer. We also provide resources to help the unhoused obtain essential documents like ID cards, driver's licenses, and social security cards. Additionally, we connect them with places where they can access necessities such as food, transportation, and bill assistance. In some cases, we are able to help reunite families.
Reaching Out
Emerald Cross Outreach (ECO) is thrilled to announce our new partnership with NPL Academy. Together, we will establish transition homes aimed at providing men and women with the essential skills and support to successfully reintegrate into society.
These homes will offer a comprehensive program that combines life skills training with mentorship and discipleship, fostering a strong foundation in faith and personal development. Our goal is to equip residents with the tools they need to become effective followers of Jesus and active contributors to both their local and global communities.
We understand that the individuals who come to these homes will have diverse experiences and backgrounds, including those who have been incarcerated or experienced homelessness. However, they all share a common desire to deepen their relationship with God and make a positive impact on society.
We are excited about the potential of this partnership and the transformative impact it will have on the lives of those we serve.
